]]> चंद्रबली सिंह द्वारा नाज़िम हिकमत की कविताओं का यह अनुवाद आपके समक्ष प्रस्तुत करते हुए हमें बहुत खुशी हो रही है। चंद्रबली जी के लिए अनुवाद सांस्कृतिक संवाद का जरिया था। उन्होंने जिन कवियों को अनुवाद के लिए चुना उनके बारे में आजीवन सोचते, पढ़ते रहे। नाज़िम हिक़मत की कवितायें प ज़िंदगी उनके साथ रहीं। यह संकलन उन्होंने अपने जीवन के आखिरी दिनों में तैयार कर लिया था। यहां तक कि कविताओं का क्रम निर्धारित किया जा चुका था और भूमिका को भी अंतिम रूप दिया जा चुका था। लेकिन बीमारी के कारण वे इसे प्रकाशित नहीं करवा सके। उम्मीद है कि नाज़िम हिक़मत की कविताओं का यह अनुवाद इसके पाठकों, विद्यार्थियों और विद्वानों को पसंद आयेगा।

]]> It is said that poetry has the astounding knack of holding a mirror to reality. If that is the case, then this distinctly titled poetry collection of eminent poet Vimal Kumar’s ‘Loving My Dead Wife’ strikingly vindicates the above standpoint. ]]> ऋतु की कविताएँ समकालीन कविताओं में एक गंभीर पहचान बना रही हैं। अच्छी कविता वह है जो हृदय को संप्रेषित कर दे ठीक वैसी ही कविताएँ ऋतु ने लिखी हैं। मूलत: ऋतु ने विश्‍वास की और अहसास की कविताएँ लिखी हैं। बड़े मयार की छोटी कविताएँ ऋतु की पहचान हैं जो इस संग्रह में भी शामिल हैं। ‘उस सतर्क समय में’ कविता देखिए  उस सतर्क समय में,तमाम बौद्धिक जुगाली के बीच बच्चों के बस्ते के भीतर सुरक्षित थी मैं…” इस कविता का अर्थ धीमे-धीमे खुलता है पर जब खुलता है तब पेंसिल की नोक की तरह मर्म पर जा लगता है हवा की छुअन की तरह शब्दों का जादुई स्पर्श यहाँ पूरी शिद्दत से मौज़ूद है। यहाँ बावजूद इतने कविता संग्रह की बाढ़ में ऋतु की कवितायें तमाम कविताओं से बिल्कुल अलग तरीके से आईडेंटिफाई की जाएगी जो समाज की बेहतरी की शनात करेंगी। ऐसे में दूसरे कवि भी अपने में एक फ़ितरत पैदा करेंगे कि इनके बनिस्बत लिखें।- अरुण शीतांश

]]> लंबी कविता आधुनिक साहित्य का वैकल्पिक खंडकाव्य है। इसकी शुरुआत क्यों हुई, यह विचारणीय मुद्दा है। ध्यान खींचने योग्य तथ्य है, कि यह उपविधा के रुप में महाकाव्यों के लगभग अवसान के पश्चात प्रकट हुई। 20वीं सदी में बृहद उपन्यासों को जीवन का महाकाव्यात्मक आयान कहा गया, जो कि तर्कपूर्ण भी है। सही अर्थों में उपन्यास ही महाकाव्य के विकल्प सिद्ध होते हैं, अन्य कोई भी विधा नहीं। इस नजरिए से ल़ंबी कविता की अपनी अलग विशिष्टता, पहचान और  प्रकृति है। लंबी कविता कविता का ही बहुदिशात्मक विस्तार है। वर्तमान की कुरुपताओं को मात देकर भविष्य के लिए प्रशस्त जनपथ का निर्माण करना लंबी कविता का मूलभूत दायित्व है। यह संग्रह निश्‍चय ही अपनी धारा प्रशस्त करेगा।
