This book also emphasizes upon the study and analysis of morphometry of a basin for adopting holistic approach of flood management of a river basin. Details of various aspects of morphometry of the basin together with data of soil, rainfall and geology will be helpful to identify the areas which are vulnerable for silt source in the catchments.
